Microwave Cinnamon Maple Breakfast Quinoa

When you need a quick and healthy breakfast but you’re tired of the same old oatmeal every morning, look no further than this! The great taste of cinnamon and maple syrup with the added benefit of one of the superfoods.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place quinoa in water and rinse well. Drain quinoa, then stir in water, cinnamon and 1 tsp butter.
  2. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir and microwave on high for an additional 3 minutes. Remove from microwave, cover with foil and let sit for 2 minutes.
  3. Fluff quinoa with a fork and stir in remaining butter. Divide between 2 bowls and top with milk or cream, maple syrup, banana slices and cinnamon to taste.

  • Organic Quinoa - 1/2 cup
  • Cold Water - 1 cup
  • Ground Cinnamon, plus more for garnish - 1/2 tsp
  • Butter - 2 tsp
  • Milk or Cream - to taste
  • Maple Syrup - to taste
  • Banana Slices
